German J & C Bavaria Hand Painted Muffin/Pancake Warmer

Germany J & C Bavaria Hand Painted Muffin/Pancake Warmer Plate Apples Louisa circa Early 1900’s.

This is a lovely hand painted porcelain plate circa the early 1900’s late 1800’s. It is marked on the back J & C Bavaria Louise. This mark was generally considered to be used from 1897 to 1923. This mark is usually identified as Jaeger and Co. and is generally identified as being produced in the German region of Bavaria in the Marktredwitz area. It is gorgeous with its deep rich colors to the apples, raspberries and flowers and its attention to detail. The edge of the plate is scalloped with a gold rim. It is the work of a skilled artisan with the signature of the artisan being signed as A. Kosh. The brush strokes and depth of colors are remarkable. Very “quick and precise” strokes. A lovely piece of work by a confident painter.┬áThere are no chips, cracks or obvious wear on plate.

The size is as follows: 9 1/8″ Diameter and 4″ High.
