Voigt Bothers of Sitzendorf Figurine

This is a Voigt Bothers of Sitzendorf Germany Dresden style precious Porcelain Putti Cherub pushing a wheelbarrow. The wheelbarrow is adorned with applied yellow, mint green and pink flowers with gold embellishments at tips. Leafs are green with tinges of gold on the edges. Stems are brown and also have tinges of gold. The top of the wheelbarrow has a jagged gold edge and the wheel with green and pink petals actually spins. The darling putti/cherub pushing the wheelbarrow has yellow curly hair, pink cheeks, blue intaglio eyes and red heart shaped lips. She’s wearing a light pink dress with a bow at the middle. Inside the wheelbarrow are hand painted purple, green and cranberry flowers with green leaves. The condition is pristine without any loss of color, cracks, chips or repairs and is 8″ Long X 5 ½” High X 4 ¼” Wide. On the bottom is the blue signature of Voigt Brothers of Sitzendorf and the red mark M-512. This is an early mark for Voigt Brothers, Sitzendorf, Thuringia, Germany, c.1887-1900, later renamed Sitzendorfer Porcelain Works. This is a rare and unusual Voigt Brothers porcelain figurine to add to your collection. It could be used to house candy, nuts etc. or just placed in a special place to show off its delightful charm.
