R. J. Horner Mahogany Muffin Stand

R. J. Horner Solid Mahogany with Satinwood Striped Inlay Muffin Stand. This is the most beautiful muffin stand we’ve ever had starting with the Ball at the top and ending with the four supporting legs. Each of the three tiers has a recessed round center with striped inlay all around and cut outs around the four corners with striped inlay on all edges. The satinwood inlay also goes down each leg. R. J. Horner opened his furniture shop around 1886 in New York City at 61-65 E. 23rd Street. Horner Brothers pieces are of the highest quality and quickly became one of the most well-known and collected furniture makers of the Victorian era. Aside from being beautiful the piece is quite sturdy. The condition is perfect, signed on the bottom R. J. Horner & Co. New York #7282. Also on the bottom of the three tiers are original extra supports. It dates to 1910 and the measurements are as follows 36″ H x 12 1/2″ W x 12 1/2″ D.
