Art Deco Parrot Lamp 1930’s

Art Deco Parrot table lamp from the 1930’s by the Diamond “F” Manufacturing Co. of Cleveland, Ohio made of cast iron with a Polychrome Parrot at the top. In the parrots mouth is a ring which holds a decorative cage which in turn holds the light. His perch has a mark of “Patent Applied for” and below that is an onyx ball, which is followed by a cast iron decorative base which houses the light switch. While the polychrome on the bird is in excellent condition there is some loss of gilt gold on the cage and base and the cage has several bars that are not missing but are not completely attached but overall the condition is very good. The lamp has been rewired for safety and felt has been placed on the bottom for furniture protection with the following measurements 15″ tall x 8 ¼ Wide from Cage to end of Parrots Tail x 4 ¼” Depth of base. This charming parrot lamp would be a real find for an Art Deco Collector, Collector of Parrots or anyone that enjoys something that is unique and a conversation piece.
